CASP Certification Program
–Certification designates IT professionals with Advanced-level Security Skills and Knowledge–
CASP is a vendor-neutral certification, the first mastery-level certification for enterprise technical security leads. Its certification is included in the approved list of certifications that meet the DoD Directive 8570.1 requirements and approved as a baseline certification.
The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner Certification Exam is accredited by ANSI to show compliance with the ISO 17024 Standard and, as such, undergoes regular reviews and updates to the exam objective which is one of the toughest technical test in network security from CompTIA. Simulation assessment is given for the performance-based type of questions.

The CASP program is internationally targeted validation of advanced-level security skills and knowledge. It is designed to help meet the growing demand for advanced IT technical security in the enterprise.
The CASP exam will certify that the successful candidate has the technical knowledge and skills required to conceptualize, design, engineer, integrate and implement secure solutions across complex enterprise environments. The candidate will apply critical thinking and judgment across a broad spectrum of security disciplines to propose and implement sustainable security solutions that map to organizational enterprise drivers, while managing risk impact and response to security incidents.

1. Explain the security implications associated with enterprise storage
2. Analyze network and security components, concepts and architectures
3. Differentiate application vulnerabilities and select appropriate security controls
4. Execute risk mitigation planning, strategies and controls
5. Conduct incident response and recovery procedures
6. Apply research methods to determine industry trends and impact to the enterprise
7. Facilitate collaboration across diverse business units to achieve security goals
8. Integrate advanced authentication and authorization technologies to support enterprise objectives

IT Specialist, InfoSec, Risk Manager/Analyst, Security architect, ISSO, Penetration Tester/Ethical Hacker
Pre-requisites:
There are no pre-requisites for this course, although a minimum of 10 years experience in IT administration including at least 5 years of hands-on technical security experience is recommended.
